Some NFL Thoughts from Week 1
- I am proud to say that I have another interview to post with a former Saints great! Look for it on Wednesday
- Mike Bell was so great for the Saints on Sunday, but I wouldn’t count out Pierre Thomas just yet.
- I love the throwback looks the old AFL teams are sporting, especially the Patriots. I remember seeing similar uniforms when they came to town for a scrimmage (my hometown used to be the Redskins training camp home). I still remember seeing a young Doug Flutie on the sideline.
- Shaun Hill impresses me. He’s not spectacular, but I think the 49ers have found themselves a gem.
- The end of that Broncos/Bengals game made me mad. Why do all the teams I hate seem to get those lucky bounces?
- Jake Delhomme had better have a great game against Atlanta. He seems to have lost it and I wonder if he’ll have enough time to get it back? Not like the Panthers have any great options at QB.
- I think the Cardinals will be fine. They had a rough first half but woke up in the second.
- Is the Bears season really over now that Urlacher is out? He’s a great player, but someone else has to step up. That’s just how it is in the NFL.
