Predictions: NFC North

Predicted Order of Finish:

1. Chicago Bears – Getting Jay Cutler to quarterback this team was a smart move, provided his fiery attitude doesn’t become a problem.  As long as he gains the respect of guys like Brian Urlacher, he should do quite well in the Windy City.  The defense struggled last year and will look to bounce back.  The Bears look to be a force again in the North.
Record: 10-6

2. Minnesota Vikings – So, I hear that a lot of Vikings players were against the Brett Favre move.  Can’t say I blame them!  Not because Favre can’t play, but just the drama that he brings is a distraction.  Not to mention how he waltzes in at the last minute.  Still, this team has a great running back in Adrian Peterson and a talented defense.  Favre will be ok, but I wouldn’t expect a miracle.
Record: 9-7

3. Green Bay Packers - Started off hot last year and fell apart down the stretch.  Aaron Rodgers threw for over 4,000 yards last season and is the real deal.  The problem seemed to be defense and turnovers.  I expect both to improve this year but still, this is a tough division.
Record: 8-8

4. Detroit Lions - Well, they have nowhere to go but up!  That’s the plus side of not winning a game in 2008.  But they obviously have a long way to go.  Rookie QB Matthew Stafford has talent, and he’s got a stud receiver in Calvin Johnson.  The Saints will be tested by them on opening day.  But the Lions have got to find ways to pull out close games.  It’ll be another long (yet improved) year in Detroit, but hey, the Red Wings season is just about to start :)
Record: 4-12 (I just hope the Saints aren’t one of the 4…)
